Job Description:

Position Summary : Responsible for the AP processes and department deadlines in a high volume, dynamic environment. Processes supplier invoices and runs weekly checks and wires. Effectively resolves issues and reconciles supplier accounts. Annually prepares and issues 1099s. Assists with other accounting work as required.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for online matching of invoices, receipts and purchase orders; validates and reconciles data according to the Company's policies & procedures.

  • Resolves discrepancies with the appropriate outside or internal source for resolution, working closely with suppliers, internal departments/managers as well as other ITT companies.

  • Utilizes mainframe reports, data base reports and spreadsheets to obtain information used in resolving issues or reconciling data.

  • Responsible for creating weekly check runs and wire payments.

  • Audits match pay interfaces to ITT Treasury Shared Services data; resolves any bank match pay discrepancies.

  • Responsible for voided checks/check discrepancies; works with Accountant on bank statement variances.

  • Prepares and posts accruals/journal entries using generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Prepares and issues 1099s.

  • Assists in audits as required.

  • Perform ad hoc and other responsibilities as required.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

High School diploma required.

3-5 years AP and/or AR experience

General knowledge working with SAP or a large ERP system

Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications including basic Excel

Ability to organize workload and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment

Excellent problem solving skills

Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated respect for culture of ethics and compliance

Physical & Mental Requirements - While performing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Extensive use of computer and other electronic equipment.

Overtime as required during month-end close and certain ad-hoc projects.
